The Icons Collection
For those unfamiliar with the Icons Collection, it’s a relatively new series that the Harley-Davidson® brand introduced a few years ago with the goal of experimenting with beloved motorcycles of the past redesigned with all of the knowledge and technologies that H-D® now possesses. These series are numbered and limited, which means that once the last unit sells, no more are available. The first entry into the collection was the 2021 Electra Glide® Revival. That was followed by the 2022 Low Rider El Diablo, and this year the collection grows with the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Electra Glide® Highway King.
Meet the Highway King
Harley-Davidson® has said that its goal for the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Electra Glide® Highway King in Augusta is to recapture the nostalgia of touring on a two-lane highway in the 1960s. In order to do that, it used the 1968 FLH Electra Glide® as inspiration since it’s one of the most iconic such motorcycles of all time. While the Highway King looks like it could’ve been built decades ago, it has the advanced technologies and performance parts that riders expect from a modern touring machine.
What’s New for the Highway King
The Highway King now available at Timms Harley-Davidson® of Augusta is a completely new model. It’s also limited to just 1,750 models. Get it while you can as there will be no updated versions of this particular nameplate next model year or beyond.
Performance & Ride Characteristics
Harley-Davidson® has selected the Milwaukee-Eight® 114 V-Twin engine for the 2023 Harley-Davidson® Electra Glide® Highway King, and we believe this is a strong choice. This is the most common engine used throughout the Grand American Touring lineup. It delivers loads of torque and on-demand power, and you always have the option to bring it in line with the Milwaukee-Eight® 117 V-Twin if you want. The seat level is high. Rider positioning is upright. There is no fairing and no infotainment system either. There is a saddle seat and saddlebags and also advanced rider-assistance technologies.
Colors & Other Customization Options
The only choice riders in and near Evans Grovetown Aiken have to make for their 2023 Harley-Davidson® Electra Glide® Highway King in Augusta is which paint scheme you prefer. Both are included in the MSRP and feature a classic chrome aesthetic with some black accenting. Those options are Hi-Fi Magenta with White Birch and Hi-Fi Orange with White Birch. If you do want to customize your Highway King further, you’ll find a wide range of options in the H-D® catalog, which are location gives you full access to.
